Dizziness Driving You Demented?

Dizziness can be caused by inner ear infections, sinus problems, motion sickness or low blood sugar. Low blood pressure can result in postural hypo-tension, which is when you feel dizzy when you stand up. Dizziness could also be a symptom of an underlying problem in the brain.

Rachel had suffered dizziness and headaches for several months. She had investigated neck problems with an osteopath and used herbs to keep her symptoms under control. Her doctor felt the cause was a sinus problem and she had used steaming to relieve this.

One of the first things Rachel told me was that her mother had always suffered with dizziness, to the extent that she couldn’t drive or even get out of bed some days. Rachel believed that her mother used the dizziness as an excuse to avoid responsibility. As a child, she had assumed her mother’s behavior was normal, so the dizziness she suffered now was an easy pattern for her to emulate. We used the affirmation “I release all genetic blocks effecting my health”.

I asked Rachel how her life would be if she wasn’t dizzy and she replied “Wonderful, I would get so much done”.

When I tested her body, however, it showed resistance to this, saying she was afraid of success. Rachel said she felt pressure to earn money and help her family. We asked her body why it was scared of success and it told me that she didn’t feel worthy. Rachel began to cry and explained that many years before she had been in a relationship with a wealthy aristocrat. She had fallen pregnant and he had ended the relationship. Rachel felt that she had been “good enough for the bedroom but not good enough for the mansion”.

This rejection had left her feeling that she would never be good enough to be financially secure. As she progressed through her career the dizziness had kicked in to stop her earning the income she desired.

We used the affirmation “I am worthy of success”.

Rachel left my room with no dizziness and three days later was still free from dizzy spells.

MIND BODY AWARENESS:

If you feel uncentred and uncertain about your life you can feel dizzy. If there is too much going on around you, you may just need to lie down and take it all in. The dizziness will make you rest and slow down.

Maybe you have taken on too many projects. If your dizziness is caused by low blood sugar it may be worse if you don’t eat and would reflect that you are giving too much to others and not receiving help yourself.

 TRY THE FOLLOWING DIETARY ADVICE:

Increase protein foods such as chicken, fish, eggs, tofu and quinoa to help stabilise blood sugar

Stimulants such as salt and caffeine can affect your blood pressure which could cause you to feel dizzy.

Sugar and refined carbohydrates will imbalance your blood sugar levels which can also create dizziness.
